My Prize ;)

I won this great journal over at Notes From the Voodoo Cafe and I'm loving it, thank you Rice!! Nate has my camera (he's in Washington on a school trip) so I had to scan the journal itself, so it's not a great pic of it......but you can see the couple of inside pages that I worked on so far pretty good. Rice Freeman Zachary is one of the authors that I've asked to interview, and she very kindly agreed-so that will be after Violette's interview on April 30th. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

I just realized that I posted the 2nd part of Milliande's video, not the 1st-but I'm too tired to even post anything else right now:(  I just feel like lying on the couch this evening and watching a movie, so if you want to watch the rest of the videos, just click on it and it should take you to youtube:)

These are the pics I to try out my first tutorial. I never did write a tutorial, but thought I'd go ahead and post the pics! I worked on a page in my journal that I didn't like-I haven't finished it yet....kind of went on to something else:)

*** I posted this the other day, but this time I tried scanning it, to see if it came out any better. I had so much fun playing with this, I started another one last night ;)

After watching Grey Gardens on HBO, I rented the original documentary from amazon (7 day rental for 3.99) and I'm just so caught up with these 2 women. Just thinking of how they went from where they were to living shut off from the world, and in the documentary, Little Edie always says how she could have had her big chance if she would have stayed in New York....the look on her face is just so, I don't know, wistful? Maybe it's caught my attention so much because I COULD see myself shutting myself away from the world-and there by the ocean, not in that house, but a little cozy cottage. I would be happy there, by myself, with my books (and computer). ...... Well, if you haven't seen the movie yet, and you have HBO, it's on HBO On Demand right now. I'd watch the documentary first, but the movie is great for the glimpses into their past, and for showing HOW they came to live like they did.
